I’m a full-stack software engineer currently working at a SaaS company that helps brands and retailers make better decisions with data. I have led critical projects such as the panel-provider integration and in-app screener, solving business problems and helping the customer operations team work with our clients more efficiently.

I am a self-taught engineer, and I am currently pursuing my second degree in computer science online at Oregon State University to deepen my understanding of the "why" behind the system.

Unable to work with some panel providers due to the lack of the ability to disqualify respondents entering our survey.

Approach

Reuse the existing schema to introduce a new group of questions to be asked to screen out respondents before entering the survey, rather than building a brand new system from scratch.

Outcome

Unblock us to work with more panel providers. Reduce the time for the customer operations team to set up new surveys for our clients.

The need to work with 10+ different panel provider platforms that require unique configuration.

Approach

Adapt the strategy pattern to build a generic system that works with many different configurations without deployment.

Outcome

Onboarded 10+ new panel providers to reduce the time required to field respondents for the clients.

Reward app

A mobile app where users can collect reward stamps for multiple bubble tea shops in a single app.

Problem

Typically, consumers have to install an app per shop to collect rewards. The company I worked for wanted to build a mobile app in 4 months where users can collect rewards for multiple shops in a single app.

Approach

Choose React Native to build an app in both iOS and Android at the same time. Adapt pure React Native over Expo App to maximize the flexibility. e.g. react version, choice of libraries, etc.

Outcome

Developed and published a mobile app within the time frame where we invited many local bubble tea shops.
